Auckland Council's Post

In New Zealand we have a process that helps a bill become a law A bill can only become a law if it is passed by a majority vote in the House of Representatives and the Senate. The bill must be agreed to in identical form by both chambers, and given Royal Assent by the Governor-General. It is then known as an Act of Parliament.   Single-use plastic shopping bags are banned in New Zealand from 1 July 2019. Businesses cannot provide you with single use plastic shopping bags,The ban will help reduce the amount of plastic in our environment . But First it have to be submission before it will be a law .
